PARIS: THE hH5N1 strain of bird flu is thought to have hit a turkey farm in France, Europe’s biggest poultry producer, officials said on Thursday, in what would be the virus’ first outbreak on a European farm. President Jacques Chirac said the Government was “fully mobilized” to deal with the threat, following talks with the head of the main farmers union. |
