POULTRY farmers and farm helpers have been urged to alert the authorities should they notice any bird flu symptoms affecting their birds so as to curb an outbreak. Health Ministry parliamentary secretary Datuk Lee Kah Choon said the farmers should be aware of the symptoms based on the information disseminated by the authorities. He said farmers should not panic when authorities decided to cull their birds should there be an outbreak be-cause that would be the only solution to stop the disease from spreading. He urged chicken farm operators in the South Seberang Prai to be vigilant. On the growing number of kidney failure cases, Lee said the ailment was due to the people's lifestyle especially their eating habit.
