A GOVERNMENT pensioner described as “most despicable”, the act of those responsible for chopping off the hind paws of three stray kittens in the upper-middle-class township of Bandar Warisan Puteri in Seremban. “I have been feeding these strays since they were kittens. They were about a month old when someone chopped off their hind legs,” she said, adding that all three had their left hind leg cut off. The retiree said she applied ointment to the kittens’ injuries and the wounds healed within a few weeks. However, one of them has since gone missing. “This is so cruel. It has been more than two months and they are unable even to jump over the wall behind my house to come and get their food,” she said, adding that she was unable to keep the two three-month-old kittens as she had five cats of her own. |
“I don’t mind feeding the kittens, but what if I am away? Also, I am afraid that someone may decide to get rid of them for good,” she said, adding that the kittens were of Siamese descent. Those interested in adopting the kittens can call 019-221 9289. |
