AUSTRALIAN SILKY TERRIER
 

Origin: Australia. Height 9-10", weight 8-10 lbs. Intelligent, energetic, curious & perpetually in motion. Can be nippy with other dogs & people who handle their possessions. Bark serves as good alarm but can become a nuisance if not kept under control. Straight, glossy coat is 5-6" long, parted from head to base of tail. Need to be brushed & combed 2-3 times a week & trimmed every 3 months. Colour is blue & tan with prominent topknot that may be silver or fawn. Life span: 14-16 years.
