BASSET HOUND
 

Height 14", weight 40-60 lbs. Sweet & gentle. Loves everybody including children, but can also be stubborn. Slobber & drink water sloppily, so not a good choice for those who keep an immaculate household. Short-legged, heavy-boned. Hard, dense coat over loose, elastic skin. White, tan & black colour in various combinations. Sheds moderately & needs to be brushed & have its pendulous ears cleaned once a week to prevent infections. Life span: 10-12 years
