Origin: Scotland. Known for its unique small ears that are folded forward to head, giving it a round profile. Short necks. Large, round, widely spaced eyes. Tail tapers to a rounded tip. Long or short coat. Well-mannered, quiet, gentle, sweet-natured. Love to play. Very good with children. Have dense coats; should be brushed 2-3 times a week to remove loose fur. Average litter size: 5. Life span: 9-15 years.
