Tiny; The smallest of all dog breeds. Height 6-9", weight 2-6 lbs. Not a good choice for households with small children, but ideal for apartment dwellers & elderly people.

Apple-domed head & large ears. Coat smooth with soft, close-lying hair & fringe on ears, feathering on tail. Requires only occasional brushing. Most common colours are red, fawn & black & tan. Life span: 12-15 years
