Height 12-14", weight 14-15 lbs. Spirited, yet obedient family dogs. Enjoy company of children. Excessive barking can become a problem. Dense, profuse beard & bushy, bristly eyebrows. Outer coat is hard & wiry; undercoat very short. Should be brushed & combed twice a week & trimmed every 2-3 months. Beard cleaned daily.Colour is salt-and-pepper, black & silver or solid black.  Life span: 12-14 years
