Also known as Lion Dog of China. Height 8-9", weight 8-14 lbs. Not fond of children. Alarm barkers. Likes to lounge on laps. Outer coat is long, straight & coarse, yet soft; undercoat thick. Long & bushy feathering on thighs, legs, tail & toes & around the neck lion-like mane. Distinctive black mask & short, broad, wrinkled muzzle. Needs to be brushed & combed daily. Coat may be red, fawn, black, black & tan, sable, brindle, white or particolour. Life span: 13-15 years
