Height 22-27", weight 45-70 lbs. Among the brightest breeds. 3 sizes: standard (origin Germany), miniature & toy (origin England). All are playful, affectionate, eager to please & energetic.  Miniature & toy more prone to biting & less tolerant of children. Coat is abundant & dense & can be curly or corded. Colour is solid grey, silver, apricot, black, white, blue grey, brown or cream. Do not shed but still need to be combed & brushed few times a week; clipped, scissored & shaped very 4-6 weeks. Life span: 10-14 years
