Origin: China. Height 8-11", weight 9-16 lbs. Small lapdogs well suited to apartment living. Outgoing, happy & affectionate. Love children.  Luxurious double coat is long, dense & flowing; sometimes with a slight wave. Hair on top of head customarily tied up, not only to enable it to see but also to prevent eye infections. All colours & markings seen - most common black & white, grey & white & tan & white. Heavily coated ears hang down. Densely plumed tail curves well over back. Must be brushed & combed daily. Life span: 12-14 years
